The Broadway Tearooms & Bakery Whitebait is our specialty...  Cooked the traditional way using northern West Coast whitebait, local free range eggs and a pinch of flour.  Lightly grilled in butter, we season our giant whitebait patties with lemon & pepper and serve between two pieces of our homemade bread.  Great accompanied by a coffee - we use Hummingbird's Oomph, an organice, free trade blend with a nutty but sweet taste. Around the Globe - Whitebait and Gold Kit up in hard hat, vest and safety glasses and join us in a tour of Oceana Gold's Reefton open pit mine.  Currently 500 metres across and 120 metres deep we take you right into the mine with great views from the lookout point and the unique chance to walk up and through the processing plant.  During October enjoy the flavour of the West Coast with one of our special whitebait treats enroute.
